Not Every Problem Needs a Tow Truck

Sometimes your car just needs a little help to get going again. Dead battery, flat tire, empty tank, keys locked inside — stuff like that doesn’t always mean you need a full tow. Half the time we can fix the problem right there on the spot and send you on your way.

That’s what roadside assistance is. We come to you, figure out what’s going on, and handle it. Most of the time you’re back on the road in under 30 minutes.

What We Cover

Here’s the short list:

• Jump starts — Dead battery? We’ll boost it and get your engine turning over again.
• Flat tire changes — We’ll swap your flat for the spare that’s been sitting in your trunk since you bought the car.
• Fuel delivery — Ran out of gas? It happens to literally everyone at some point. We’ll bring you enough to reach the nearest station.
• Car lockout service — Locked your keys in the car? We can get you back in without damaging anything.
• Minor mechanical help — Sometimes it’s a loose battery terminal or a belt that slipped. If it’s a quick fix, we’ll try to get you going right there.

And yeah, if we show up and the problem is bigger than roadside help can handle, we’ve got tow trucks ready to go. We’ll be straight with you about it — no point pretending we can fix something on the shoulder that really needs a shop.

The “I Don’t Know What’s Wrong” Call

This is actually one of the most common calls we get. Your car stopped, something’s wrong, but you’re not a mechanic and you have no idea what happened. That’s totally fine.

Call us at (801) 396-8259 and just describe what happened. “It made a clicking noise and died.” “The dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree.” “There’s smoke.” “I have no clue, it just won’t go.” We hear all of it, and our guys can usually narrow down the issue pretty quickly once they’re on scene.

We won’t make you feel dumb for not knowing what a catalytic converter does. That’s not our style.

Winter Roadside Calls in Utah

Utah winters are beautiful if you’re looking at the mountains from your living room. They’re a lot less beautiful when you’re standing on the shoulder of I-215 in 15-degree weather with a car that won’t start.

Cold kills batteries. That’s just a fact. If your battery was on its last legs in October, it’s going to die in December. We do more jump starts between November and March than the rest of the year combined. It’s just part of living in the valley.

Then there’s the tire thing. People hit potholes that show up after the freeze-thaw cycle tears up the roads. Or they catch a nail from construction debris on 4700 South. Or the cold air drops their tire pressure enough that the TPMS light comes on and they panic. We handle all of it.

Our shop is at 1800 W 4700 S in Taylorsville. When you call us, you’re calling a local company with trucks already in the area. We’re not dispatching from Ogden or Provo hoping to get to you eventually. Most of the time we can be wherever you are in the Salt Lake Valley within 20 to 30 minutes.

We cover Taylorsville, West Valley, Murray, Kearns, West Jordan, South Salt Lake, Millcreek — basically the whole central valley area. If you’re close to the Wasatch Front, we can probably get to you.
