Flat tire and no spare? We will swap it or get you to a shop fast.
Call (801) 396-8259There’s nothing quite like that sinking feeling — literally — when you hear the flap-flap-flap of a flat tire. Maybe you hit one of those potholes on Redwood Road that appears every spring. Maybe a nail from a construction site on 4700 South finally worked its way in. Whatever caused it, you’re now sitting on the side of the road with a flat.
You could try changing it yourself. But if you’re on a busy highway, if the lug nuts are on there tighter than humanly possible, or if you just plain don’t want to deal with it — that’s what we’re here for.
We come to wherever you are, pull your spare out of the trunk, and swap it on. Simple as that. Our guys do this every day, so the whole thing takes about 15 to 20 minutes from the time we get there.
Here’s what’s included:
If your spare is a donut — that small temporary tire — we’ll make sure you know the speed and distance limits on it. Those things aren’t meant for highway driving or long distances. Usually 50 mph max and no more than 50 to 70 miles. Enough to get you to a tire shop, not enough for a road trip to St. George.
Fun fact: a lot of newer cars don’t come with a spare tire at all. Manufacturers decided to save weight and space by giving you a can of tire sealant and a prayer instead. If that’s your situation, we’ve got options.
We can tow your car to a tire shop if the flat is beyond repair. And if the tire just needs air, we can sometimes reinflate it enough to limp to the nearest shop. We’ll assess the damage and give you honest advice about what makes sense.
Utah is rough on tires. Between the freeze-thaw cycle that turns roads into obstacle courses every spring, the construction zones that seem to last forever, and the occasional debris on I-15, flat tires are just part of life around here.
Then there’s temperature. Big temperature swings mess with tire pressure. Your tires can lose a pound or two of pressure for every 10-degree drop in temperature. So when it’s 75 degrees in the afternoon and 30 degrees overnight, that pressure fluctuation adds up. It’s one reason we see so many flat tire calls in fall and early winter.
Pro tip: check your tire pressure when the seasons change. Seriously. It takes two minutes and it can save you from being stuck on the side of Bangerter Highway at 7 AM.
This is the part people don’t think about. Changing a tire on the shoulder of I-15 or I-215 is genuinely dangerous. Cars are flying by at highway speed, sometimes just a few feet away. If it’s dark or the weather’s bad, it’s even worse.
Our trucks have flashing lights, safety cones, and the equipment to do the job quickly and safely. We do this in traffic every day. Let us take that risk instead of you kneeling next to your car with vehicles whipping past.
